Message from the President

Martyn Bassett

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the September of Driven, where we continue to bring you inspiring success stories from the high-tech world, as well as articles intended to inform and educate.

This month our focus is on learning. In our Visionary Spotlight, Michael Skinner from Operitel Corporation shares how his organization helps companies better manage their employees’ training and career growth. Operitel rocketed on to the Profit Hot 50 list of Canada’s Emerging Growth Companies in the fall of 2006 and in June of this year, placed 45th on the Profit 100 list of Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies.

In our September article, we explore the benefits of life-long learning; to both career and personal health. Just as your body requires exercise to remain healthy, so does your mind. We hope you enjoy the article and that it truly offers you “food for thought”.

Maybe you know someone else that may enjoy receiving Driven each month, or who might enjoy reading this particular issue? If so, please click on the "send this to a friend" link at the top right hand corner of the email you received from us. You will be given the opportunity to include a personal message, so they'll know it's from you.

Do you know someone, or work with/for someone that you think would make a great interview subject for Driven? Or, are you an expert on another subject that you think would appeal to Driven readers and want to share your story? Click here to send us an email and let us know. We will read all suggestions and will respond to you.
