Martyn Bassett President and Founder

Martyn Bassett is the Firm's Founder & President and a sought after advisor to the who's who of the North American technology industry. The visionary behind the success of his previous companies, Bassett Laudi Partners and software company, Tapestry Financial Systems, Martyn understands the challenges his clients face.

Whether partnering with a CEO on the quest for a CFO who's led a successful exit, or with a time-strapped VP Sales, Martyn ensures the best search approach is taken and assembles the team to achieve it. "I would put our team of recruiters up against any of the global search brands and am confident we would deliver an outstanding result  - faster!"

Martyn has partnered with leaders in the areas of wireless technologies, content management, supply chain, business applications, infrastructure and portals. Successful placements include CEO, CFO, VP Professional Services, VP Sales and enterprise sales and presales teams.  2005 saw the successful launch of a new technology practice focused on business intelligence consultants across North America, as well as the launch of a European practice.

Martyn is a member of the CVCA and has been active in the philanthropy community as an annual corporate sponsor of the CVCA golf tournaments.

Born in England and raised in Canada, Martyn graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Honours BSc. from McMaster University. Martyn lives in Toronto with his wife and two children.

When he's not advising companies on how to become the next RIM, Martyn can be found reading the Economist, "killing it" on the squash court or trying to on the golf course!
