The company has built it's success on an easy to use robotics solution for industrial applications, based on sensor technology and cloud connectivity. They have a global business that sells on 5 continents, and their future plans include new products and software applications.
Our Client is on the hunt for a Manufacturing and Operations leader.
As a member of the Executive team you will work closely with Engineering, Sales, Service/Support, and Product teams to set, meet and exceed company level goals, manage the day-to-day operations on current, future and other product offerings.
Experience in a Senior Leadership role is a must along with a strong background in continuous improvement, lean methodologies and formal business management training. This role reports directly to the CEO.
In addition to Executive responsibilities, you will be required to interact routinely with members of the Board as well as strategic industrial partners. Develop a long-term vision and plan for growth of the entire operations organization which includes analyzing cost structure, process improvement, and workflow
Plan and execute a comprehensive operations strategy for the manufacturing, supply chain, and Quality teams
Meet and exceed annual site goals and objectives as set by the senior leadership team
Engage with different leaders from key areas of the company from sales, product, engineering, and finance to identify critical operations issues and resolve them in the best way possible
Evaluate, implement and manage systems, tools, and training to provide efficiency and scalability for our operations
Evaluate and manage key operational metrics and best practices to ensure we are meeting business and customer expectations
Lead, develop, recruit, and mentor people for professional development and growth
Perform other tasks as assigned in support of the business
Minimum 10 years of progressive manufacturing and operations work experience
5+ years of experience in managing and leading high growth teams
Exceptional time and project management skills with a proven track record of delivering on Quality, Budget, and Time.
Strong communication, presentation and leadership skills
Strong background in strategic management, lean methodologies, and continuous improvement
Experience implementing new tools and ERP systems
Experience having negotiated and interacted with Contract Manufacturing organizations
International contract manufacturing experience
A passion for robotics and hardware systems development
Strong desire to be part of and influence the future of the entire robotics industry
Experience working with international CMs and or setting up Manufacturing Ops in other geos
