Headquartered in downtown Toronto, our client is a 160 person, profitable company founded in 2004. Their customers include FP500 companies such as banks, insurance companies, and telcos.

Our client's solutions include a SaaS software product as well as consulting services and training services.


Mission

As Manager of Marketing and Communications, your mission is to spearhead the strategy for marketing three distinct lines of business—a software product, industry training, and consulting services.

Given your experience as a Marketing and Communications leader, you will offer recommendations based on industry expertise that will influence the growth of the organization. As a natural storyteller, you will be able to craft compelling stories about the organization's impact in the Cybersecurity industry. You are comfortable using your communication skills across a variety of forums: promotional materials, internal and external communications, press releases, editorials, events, etc.

This role will report to the Director of Marketing, and is responsible for managing an integrated marketing team of 5 professionals.


Experience & Expertise

You are the ideal candidate for this role if:

  • You are currently employed in a MARKETING LEADERSHIP ROLE for a SaaS software product which is sold to IT decision makers.
  • Your background includes 7 - 10 years of intermediate to senior marketing experience, including a combination of large company experience and smaller/midsize company initiatives that focus on developing opportunities, leads, and sales.
  • You have a track record of growing and mentoring a team of professionals. Your coaching style is all about creating a culture of accountability, fostering a respectful and productive work environment, and challenging your team to provide superior service to the organization.
  • You lead by example, and are prepared to roll up your sleeves in order to get the job done—you love all things marketing and thrive in a fast paced, results focused environment. Some of the awesome things that will fall within your portfolio will be: trade shows, editorials, marketing content and collateral, media, corporate events, and PR management.
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree, an advanced degree in business or marketing, or have equivalent experience.
