Our firm was engaged by GE Healthcare at an exciting time of transformation. They were launching an ambitious project of transforming the global design organization to a global Center of Excellence model.
To accelerate this undertaking, GE Healthcare required a new leader to assume the senior-most position and manage the software side of the CoE. This hire would assume leadership of a 50+ person organization while continuing to build.
GE Healthcare needed a search partner who was experienced in executive-level product design recruitment, had the capacity to undertake a search across multiple countries, and were agile enough to provide hyper-targeted profiles, rapidly.

Search Requirements
This role required candidates with experience working for a global technology organization with high standards of B2B product design as well as building and leading large, distributed teams (50+ people). Medtech experience was considered ideal.
They were looking for an empathetic leader with a desire to solve problems and leave a positive impact in the healthcare space. Someone with the tenacity and ability to work across multiple globally distributed teams and bring groups together to achieve a common vision, purpose, and outcome. A visionary thinker and leader with a global mindset (global customers, partners, and employees).
The Hire
A global design leader working for an industry-leading MedTech solutions provider. They had experience building and leading distributed teams of 100+ Designers.
A noted thought leader and speaker on the topic of design, having previously lead a course at Harvard Business School. Also a multiple design award recipient.
