Our client is a Toronto based scale up and was created because they saw an opportunity for products, data and technology to be used to simplify, connect and improve daily life. Through understanding consumer needs, they build care brands; brands that enable people to achieve everyday health and happiness. They have a number of health and wellness products: both consumer electronics and native mobile apps (IOS and Android), already in market globally. Their growth to date is remarkable: founded in 2018, their products launched in 2019 and to date have achieved revenue in excess of $60M.
This is a net-new role focused on building the software side of the business, and more specifically, the consumer experience which users will interact with on their mobile apps.
This role is critical to the business because you will be responsible for reimagining and transforming the business model. Your mission will be to develop the path to monetization, moving the business from a freemium companion app to a suite of applications which provide high value experiences for a subscription.
You have demonstrated success as a Product Management Lead, having launched new consumer experiences used by humans today.
You have developed the path to monetization for a software company and are prepared to talk about that journey, your learnings, the data driven decisions you made, and how you took something that was 'nothing' and made it what it is today.
You have experience working with Founders and founding teams. You are comfortable working in nebulous business models that require 'blue sky thinking'.
You are willing to work hands on doing the work, providing direction to a team fewer than 3, until such time that the business can scale.
Bonus points if: - You have experience in healthtech, wellness or fitness consumer apps - You have done the above for a recognizable consumer app brand used by millions globally - You are in Toronto/GTA (US based candidates WILL be considered)
