Our client is a Canadian start-up offering a marketplace platform in the proptech category.

Currently, in a test- market with active users, our client has ambitious goals and the funding to support their next level of product growth. This has opened the door to this strategic hire: a Senior Product Manager with a "business owner mindset."

Mission

Your mission is to build a Best in Class marketplace that, within one year, will have had business success and is considered the preferred household management solution of homeowners.

The way to achieve that mission is to apply 'first principles thinking' to solve for outcomes.

Practically speaking, the first 6 months of your role will be about nailing down Product Market Fit and ideating around new features, which will lead to a Product Led Growth business model that will scale.

Experience & Expertise

• Someone who thinks like an owner and is interested in building a marketplace business
• Proven experience in launching and managing a consumer marketplace product
• Experience managing and delivering B2C or DTC products used by consumers; web or mobile app product or an e- commerce/loyalty experience with a sign up/registration > transaction > referral flow
• Previous experience working in a full-stack model; taking an experience or use case from ideation to release is necessary
• Someone who challenges the norms and is interested in disrupting traditional assumptions and models of marketplaces
• Located in the GTA and can get together with the leadership team in Toronto when things open up
