Salary Insights: COO

We were recently engaged by an international client to conduct a search for a Toronto based COO. Our client is a European based energy company with a global presence. They had recently acquired a new business and needed a hire with a ‘partnership mindset’ in order to work with the Founder/CEO while also reporting to the acquired company’s Board of Directors.

Their ideal candidate would need to have experience working for a B2B SaaS vendor, and being part of a successful growth story. They identified the ideal candidate as someone who would be able to bring process, rigour and best practices to their newly acquired business, which was still operating as a startup with fewer than 50 people. They also expressed an interest in considering candidates with a background in law.
